Claudio Bergonzi is Director of Global IP Enforcement in the Alibaba Group since 2022. In this role, he works to ensure the connection between Alibaba and IP owners, associations, law enforcement and government agencies, for all the IP related matters. Prior to join Alibaba, Claudio served as EU Lead Global Brand Relations at Amazon. Before, he held the role of Managing Director of the Italian association INDICAM for 8 years, supporting 160+ brands in the IP protection. Prior that, Claudio had various experiences in his own business and with a Japan-based start-up company leader in the data protection software. He started his career in Microsoft, where in a decade he covered various roles, from Licensing and Anti-piracy to OEM and retail distribution. He has a legal background with a master’s degree from the University of Milan.
